Emotional Intelligence, Knowledge Management Processes and Creative Performance: Modelling the Mediating Role of Self-Directed Learning in Higher Education

Grounded on the Knowledge Based View (KBV), this study examines effects of a knowledge management enabler (Emotional Intelligence) processes (KMPs) in research universities. It investigates direct effect KMPs creative performance. This further mediating role Self-directed Learning relationship between and used sample frame 248 academic administrative personnel from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) Pakistan. The relationships were tested through partial least squares structural equation modelling method. results reveal that Emotional Intelligence (EI) as an has positive significant impact KMPs. However, relation self-directed learning performance is insignificant. Also, established associations found to be significant. study’s findings validate experience EI suggest how academics administrators HEIs can value strengthens With increased importance HEIs, there lack studies investigating EI, empirically interface HEI’s enriches existing literature by exploring learning.
